Clinical Therapist Intensive Outpatient Program (IOP):  

Job Description: I.O.P. Clinical Therapist 

This position is a part-time to full-time 1099-contractor role. 

Job Responsibilities/Duties: 
 

The Clinical Therapist is responsible for maintaining a caseload of clients and participates in leading groups at the facility or virtually. They design treatment plans, evaluate the results for the client and make changes to the plan as needed.  

The clinical Therapist will ensure proper documentation of clinical interventions is compliant with joint commission standards. The Clinical Therapist is responsible for having knowledge of and compliance with policies and procedures of the center and provides as-needed intervention/support to ensure compliance.   

The Clinical Therapist will be asked to participate in clinical meetings weekly. The Clinical therapist must be available to run virtual groups on weeknights and holidays. 
 

• The Clinical Therapist will maintain a flexible caseload of clients and lead weekly therapy groups.  
• The Clinical Therapist will create, monitor, and update client treatment plans. 
• Participates in weekly consultation, coaching and training with IOP Manager and Regional Director of IOP.  
• Ensures timely and accurate clinical intervention and documentation for caseload. 
• Participates in coordinating coverage for clinical groups and services.  
• Consults with the Regional Director of IOP in situations in which additional supervision, direction, and information is needed. 
• Maintains professional and solution focused demeanor.   
• Maintains current licensure and certifications as required by the state.   
• Prepared to support and assist in crisis intervention or other situations when deemed appropriate.  

Competencies:  

• Knowledge of evidence-based practices utilized in clinical interventions  
• Knowledge of ethical code and BHEC standards in the state of Texas  
• Demonstrated ability to work with multiple client populations  
• Knowledge of requirements of mandated reporting  
• Strong verbal and written communication skills  
• Knowledge of crisis assessment and intervention strategies  
• Strong working knowledge of Electronic Medical Records  
• Motivation to grow and increase knowledge within the field 

Minimum Qualifications:  

• Must possess licensure in the state of Texas as LPC, LPC-A, LMSW, LCSW
