Join Custom Aire's team as aRefrigeration, Piping & HVAC Installation Specialist. We have an immediate need for an individual with an HVAC background to lead a small team for upcoming service construction projects. This position will require you to work and coordinate with other trades in a construction environment and will not be rotated into service calls.

What You Will Do:

• You will be responsible for the installation of air conditioning and gas piping systems on 1-to-60-ton systems and ensuring installations meet code requirements.
• Read blueprints, wiring diagrams, and installation manuals to determine the layout and sequence of installation.
• Provide on-site coordination and interpretation of drawings for line-set and equipment placement.
• May assist/perform start-ups of HVAC systems.
• Coordinate installations with builders and other trades, communicating effectively to complete projects/work efficiently with craftsmanship as a priority.
• Maintain, monitor, and transport tools, supplies, and/or equipment.
• Work with and mentor apprentice(s) to assist them in their growth in the trade.
• Promote and adhere to safety procedures and company safety policy, including appropriate Personal Protective Equipment, operation company vehicle, tools, and equipment.
• Climb ladders, scaffolding, and use lifts to perform work at heights to complete duties.
• Safeguard company materials and tools to protect from damage or theft.

Basic Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent and 4 + years of commercial/refrigeration piping experience with progressive responsibility leading projects.
• EPA 608 Certification
• Have or the ability to obtain city licenses
• Provide own small hand tools.
• Ability to work in a team environment, good mechanical aptitude, effective time management, and organization skills.
• Valid driver's license and acceptable motor vehicle record (5 years).
• Willingness to travel by company vehicle to worksites, including overnight travel.
• Willingness to work overtime.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Completion of a post-high school certificate or diploma in plumbing or HVAC program.
