Director of Marketing

The Director of Marketing is responsible for creating and implementing an overall marketing strategy and build relationships in the community while increasing patient census and fostering partnerships with physicians, clinics, hospitals, Assisted Living Facilities, Hospice, and Home Care companies. To acquire the necessary and appropriate information to facilitate the admission of the resident to the facility from home, hospital, or other facility and to complete the documents necessary for the admission process.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Responsible for building and maintaining relationships with acute-care hospitals, health systems, discharge planners, case managers, rehabilitation centers, and assisted living facilities
- Build and maintain relationships with hospitals, physicians, social workers, discharge planners and other referral sources
- Analyze referrals to ensure facility can meet resident’s needs adequately with direction from D.O.N.
- Help develop and implement a marketing strategy for the facility with our regional marketing team as well as managers in the field
- Working closely with the company’s Admission’s and Business Office Manager
- Develop marketing materials such as brochures, flyers, ads, campaigns etc.
- Influence decision making among various stakeholders to generate referrals and admissions from referral sources
- Continuously conduct market assessments and develop a comprehensive marketing plan designed to meet company goals and objectives
- Participate in community events and activities that promote company goals and initiatives
- Provide leadership in strategic planning including identifying opportunities for additional or improved services to address customer needs
- Monitor and report cost-effectiveness of marketing efforts
- Assist in the Quality Assurance and Performance Improvement (QAPI) process
QUALIFICATIONS:
EDUCATION / EXPERIENCE:
- Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications or related field
- At least three (3) years’ experience in marketing management, preferably in health care
- Proven experience as Marketing Director, preferably in Senior Living/Skilled Nursing
- Ability to market aggressively and deal tactfully with customers and the community
- Demonstrate excellent communication, negotiation, and public relation skills
- Demonstrate autonomy, organization, assertiveness, flexibility and cooperation in performing job responsibilities
- Analytical and creative thinking
- Great communication and interpersonal skills
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- This position directly supervises the facility marketing staff
TRAVEL:
- Approximately 70% local travel is expected for this position
