Granite Fabricator

Eastridge Workforce Solutions is hiring someone experienced in granite counter fabrication to operate a CMM Machine for a company with a longstanding community service history. In this role, you will oversee the operation of a coordinate measuring machine (CMM) in a manufacturing environment. Utilizing the machine, you will translate measurements and instructions into models, primarily focusing on inspection to ensure accuracy throughout production. Responsibilities:

• Inspect manufacturing and assembly drawings.
• Create and document the first sample reports according to VDA 2 or PPAP standards.
• Program and operate CMM equipment to inspect parts per engineering specifications.
• Determine manufactured parts' quality (Pass/Fail) based on dimensional and visual inspection.
• Recommend and design inspection fixtures or gauges for production purposes.
• Maintain detailed and accurate dimensional inspection reports and analysis of inspection data.
• Ensure safety and quality standards using acceptable housekeeping practices and 5S processes.
• Administer parts approval and release procedures.

Requirements:

• Highly organized with a high level of integrity.
• Experience in parts approval process and first article inspections.
• Working knowledge of VDA2 or PPAP standards.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Fluent in GD&T according to ASME Y14.5 and ISO tolerancing specs.
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and technical specifications.
• AS/BS engineering degree or equivalent work experience.
• Proficiency in WM | Quartis Measuring Software and/or Wenzel CMM equipment preferred.
• Previous experience with precision measuring equipment, including CMM in a manufacturing environment.
• ISO/ATF training is a plus.
• Familiarity with PC DEMIS software.
• Internal audit experience preferred.

Additional Information:

• The CMM Operator mounts or installs tools, attachments, fixtures, or workpieces on CMM.
• Operates CMM equipment to measure, inspect, and test production materials and components using previously prepared inspection programs.
• Reads and interprets blueprints and specifications.
• Typically requires 2-4 years of related experience.
