Job Description

We are looking for a Tax Accountant to join our tax and accounting practice!

Responsibilities:

Gather and review the documents submitted by the clients, while using the company technology to organize them
Prepare various types of income tax returns, extensions, and quarterly estimated payment calculations
Payroll Processing; preparation of quarterly and annual payroll tax returns and forms
Respond to various tax related federal and state notices
Provide tax services to medium size clients (e.g. indirect tax compliance, tangible personal property tax, business license business tax receipts returns, etc), under the lead partner supervision
Automate various company processes while staying compliant

Qualifications:

Previous experience in accounting and tax services a plus
A Bachelor's degree in Accounting (CPA or CPA candidate is a plus)
Tax accounting and reporting concepts, practices, and procedures
Federal and state tax return filing requirements and methodologies
Experience with Quickbooks and Drake accounting programs
Read, comprehend, and apply complex IRS and state rules, regulations, and requirements
