Position Overview:

Become part of the Care.com Accounting team as a Tax Accountant on the Tax Team. As part of this team, you will be responsible for the timely and accurate filing of various tax information for Care.com entities. This position will report to the Accounting Manager.

What You'll Do:

• Maintain accounts and prepare balance sheet reconciliations, including the timely resolution of any outstanding reconciling items.
• Generate manual and system-driven journal entries to be reviewed by the Accounting Manager, including the creation of vital analyses and back-up support.
• Prepare property tax returns timely and accurately.
• Prepare international VAT returns timely and accurately.
• Prepare other miscellaneous tax returns timely and accurately.
• Assist in maintenance of sales & use tax software configuration.
• Appropriately respond to state and federal tax notices across all companies.
• Assist in the appropriate accounting for transfer pricing agreements, including recording of journal entries, review of agreements, and preparation of annual transfer pricing reviews and documentation.
• Assist in preparation of statutory accounts for international entities.
• Develop and improve accounting processes and reporting.

Who You Are:

• Knowledge of U.S. Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (U.S. GAAP)
• Intermediate to advanced experience with MS Office applications, most notably Excel
• Excellent analytic, time management, written, verbal and organizational skills with a proven ability to manage conflicting priorities to deliver a high quality work product required
• Great teammate with previous cross-functional exposure who is able to liaise with various departments and levels every day
• Ability to work independently, as well as in a team environment, to solve problems
• Proactive, motivated, self-starter that is looking for upward mobility and progression in their accounting career
• Bachelor's Degree in Accounting
• 1-2 years of accounting experience, sales & use tax experience preferred

Salary : $75,000.

The base salary range above represents the anticipated low and high end of the national salary range for this position. Actual salaries may vary and may be above or below the range based on various factors including but not limited to work location, experience, and performance. The range listed is just one component of Care.com's total compensation package for employees. Other rewards may include annual bonuses and short- and long-term incentives.
