Machine Operator

The Machine Operator position will safely operate machines, including and not limited to, such as cutoff saws, shears, rolls, brakes, presses, forming machines, spinning machines, and punch that cut, shape, and bend metal plates, sheets, tubes, and structures by performing the following duties.

MACHINE OPERATOR ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

The essential duties and responsibilities include the following (other duties may be assigned as necessary):

Perform work in a manner that conforms to company safety policies and practices.
Perform work in a manner to meet the process and product quality requirements as defined by project / job specifications and company quality management system.
Perform work in a manner to meet or exceed the productivity goals set by supervisor.
Must be able to read & interpret detailed shop drawings, understand metal fabrication and possess a strong mechanical aptitude.

MACHINE OPERATOR QUALIFICATIONS:

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required. MATHEMATICAL SKILLS:

Must be able to prove proficiency in mathematical skills.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

Must be able to sit or stand for extended periods.
Must be able to safely lift up to 50 pounds.
