Job Title: Stair Installer/Delivery Driver
Position Type: Full-time
Our client is a leading provider of custom staircases for residential and commercial projects. They're currently seeking a skilled and reliable individual to join our team as a Stair Installer/Delivery Driver. This dynamic role offers the opportunity to not only deliver but also install our high-quality stair systems while providing exceptional customer service.
Job Description: As a Stair Installer/Delivery Driver, you will be responsible for delivering and installing custom straight and curved stair systems to valued customers. You will work closely with the operations team to ensure timely delivery, maintain job quality standards, and uphold our commitment to outstanding customer service.
Key Responsibilities:
- Load stairs for scheduled delivery and installation
- Deliver and install custom stair systems for residential and commercial projects
- Conduct pre-load and delivery quality checks
- Document job sites with photos and complete necessary paperwork
- Drive safely and comply with all traffic laws
- Report any damage or issues promptly
- Efficiently route deliveries to minimize costs
- Maintain company fleet vehicles and ensure proper care and maintenance
- Assist with warehouse duties as needed
- Collaborate with the team and management to ensure efficient operations
Qualifications:
- Clean motor vehicle record
- Proven ability to drive a 26’ box truck
- Minimum of 2 years of carpentry/framing experience
- Strong background in woodworking and craftsmanship
- Ability to lift and deliver stairs weighing up to 75 lbs.
- Excellent teamwork and communication skills
Physical Demands:
- Ability to lift up to 75 pounds at a time
- Willingness to work in varied weather and job site conditions
Travel: Travel will be required for this position (>75%) - 95 percentof the time you will be home at night!
