POSITION PURPOSE

Adobe Population Health (APH) currently has an immediate opening for an energetic and organized Accounting Clerk II who will play a crucial role in the financial operations of our growing company. As the Accounting Clerk II you will be responsible to ensuring the accuracy and timeliness of financial reporting. In the role, you will be supporting the accounts payable process, inventory management, and processing semi-monthly payroll. Additionally, you will be responsible for ensuring compliance with accounting standards, policies, and procedures. The ideal candidate will have a blend of both accounting and payroll experience, a keen attention to detail, and a quality sense of humor.

This position reports to the Accounting Manager and is based out of our Phoenix Office, conveniently located off the 51 Freeway (Glendale Ave. and 16th St.).

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Payroll (60%)
    1. Semi-monthly payroll processing.
    2. Maintain accurate and timely payroll records.
    3. Set up state accounts for payroll and business tax purposes.
    4. Ensure accurate and timely filing of payroll and business tax returns and other annual filings.
    5. Ensure accuracy in benefit deductions and posting to accounting system.
  • Accounts Payable (15%)
    1. Assist in overseeing group inbox and forward invoices to accounting software.
    2. Assist in reviewing accuracy of accounts payable.
  • Inventory Management (10%)
    1. Check in and out supplies from the corporate office.
    2. Perform regular audits of inventory counts.
  • Other (10%)
    1. Oversee incentive programs.
    2. Assist with integrations and process improvements.
    3. Maintain compliance with federal, state, and local regulations and policies.
    4. Perform other clerical and administrative tasks as assigned.
  • Financial Account Reconciliation (5%)
    1. Ensure accuracy of payroll, tax, and benefit related postings.
    2. Assist in month end & year end closing duties.

SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS

  • 2+ years of progressive experience processing payroll required.
  • 1+ years of progressive experience in accounting required.
  • Understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) required.
  • Sage Intacct experience helpful.
  • Salesforce experience helpful.
  • ADP Workforce Now experience helpful.
  • Experience in healthcare beneficial.

EDUCATION, LICENSES, & CERTIFICATIONS

  • High school diploma or GED required.
  • Accounting or related degree preferred.
