About this Opportunity:
The Inventory Control Specialist II ensures inventory levels are accurate and up to date in the system and in the plant. They prepare inventory reports for cross departmental communication to ensure flow of material through our process. This role develops processes with each production department to ensure that they are accurately recording inventory counts.
Responsibilities:
- Ensure inventory levels are accurate and up to date in the system and in the plant.
- Prepare inventory reports for cross departmental communication to ensure flow of material through our process.
- Rectify any discrepancies in the system.
- Develop processes with each production department to ensure that they are accurately recording inventory counts.
- Audit production reporting to validate inventory accuracy or identify discrepancies.
- Identify and escalate orders that are in jeopardy of missing ship due dates.
- Perform cycle counts on a regular basis.
- Coordinate and execute physical inventory counts.
- Be an advocate of continuous improvement and offer suggestions on how to improve inventory systems.
- Communicate issues to leadership and push towards resolution.
- Perform good receipt movements for incoming raw materials, tooling and accessories into ERP.
- Other duties as assigned.
Requirements / Skills:
- 3-5 years of experience in manufacturing is preferred.
Analytical and process-oriented.
Excellent attention to detail, highly organized, with outstanding follow-up skills.
Good verbal and non-verbal communication skills.
Great use of technology (word, email, excel…).
Previous ERP use a plus.
Relates well to others in the organization.
Effective problem solving and mediation skills.
Manages individual productivity effectively.
- Demonstrates strong interpersonal and customer service skills.
Works well within a team environment.
Ability to stand, walk, and lift up to 20 lbs as needed.
