Demand Planning Manager

The Demand Planning / S&OP Manager will lead Copperweld’s demand forecasting and supply chain optimization efforts. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of demand planning processes, supply chain dynamics, and inventory management principles. The position will be responsible for developing and executing strategies to ensure the efficient flow of products from suppliers to customers while balancing inventory levels and minimizing costs. Regular travel to our manufacturing sites and headquarters in Brentwood, TN would be required. The position reports directly to Copperweld’s Vice President of Supply Chain and Procurement.

WHAT we need you to do.

• Lead the S&OP process to align demand and supply plans, identify potential gaps or constraints, and develop action plans to address them. Facilitate cross-functional collaboration and decision-making to ensure alignment with business objectives.
• Develop and implement strategic plans for inventory management, production planning and scheduling to meet business objectives and customer demands.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to forecast demand, plan production schedules, and optimize inventory levels to minimize stockouts and excess inventory.
• Lead and mentor the Demand Planner, providing guidance and support to ensure departmental goals are achieved. Lead and support the improvement in the company culture and core values.
• Analyze supply chain data and performance metrics to identify opportunities for process improvement and cost optimization.
• Implement best practices and standard operating procedures (SOPs) to streamline supply chain processes and enhance overall efficiency.
• Prepare and present monthly Executive SIOP meeting and updates on supply chain performance, key metrics, and strategic initiatives to senior management.
• Perform other duties as assigned

WHAT you need to possess.

• Bachelor’s Degree in Mathematics, Economics, Statistics, or other business-related discipline required. Graduate degree preferred.
• Specialized studies in forecasting, modeling, data mining and /or statistics is highly preferred.
• 5+ years of experience 5-8 years of experience of working in the B2B industry with a proven track record of utilizing ERP systems to support supply chain and demand planning engineering/designing electrical systems within the construction industry.
• Self-motivated with strong prioritization and problem-solving skills.
• Demonstrated experience interacting with key decision-makers.
• Ability to effectively communicate and present information to various stakeholders, including customers, prospective clients, trade organizations, contractors/builders, inspectors, team members, team leaders, and top management.
• Proven success leading the demand planning for a B2B manufacturing.
• Demonstrated knowledge of SIOP and the demand planning process.
• ERP software experience required… Plex software is a plus.
• Excellent MS Excel and MS Access Skills: Database proficiency preferred.
