ESSENTIAL POSITION REQUIREMENTS:

 

· The Counselor must receive annually twenty-five hours of in-service training in areas supportive of the skill development required by NET and The Pennsylvania Department of Health, Bureau of Drug and Alcohol Programs.

· Must be ASAM Certified and working towards your license or certification. The counselor will have a 6 month post hiring date to be ASAM certified.

· Must demonstrate genuine empathy and concern for individuals as indicated in our corporate vison, mission, and values statements.

· Adhere to applicable city, county, state, and federal laws and regulations, internal and JCAHO standards.

· Must have current State clearances for Child Abuse, Criminal Records check, and medical clearance for contagious diseases.

· Knowledge and skill with Microsoft Office and electronic record keeping systems.

 

ESSENTIAL POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES:

 

· Maintain a caseload of up to 35 clients.

· Provide direct individual, group, and family therapy to clients.

· Complete Biopsychosocial History in required timeframe.

· Provide direct individual, group, and family therapy to clients.

· Complete treatment plans with each patient and ensure that all elements of the treatment plan (including the aftercare plan) are completed within the applicable time limits.

· Ensure that client records are kept in accordance with DDAP and agency policy.

· Observe clients in the program for changes in physical, emotional, and cognitive behavior and report such changes to the Treatment Team

· Assist in determining appropriate strategies, interventions, and treatment approach

· Document client progress and makes recommendations regarding discharge and aftercare planning

· Complete discharge summaries.

· Maintain appropriate contact with a variety of additional internal/external service providers.

· Conduct client follow-up and outreach.

· Complete other assigned tasks as needed.
