Mechanic

Full-time job

Duties and Responsibilities

• Mechanic including but not limited to heavy equipment, asphalt plant, any kind of truck or automobile
• Loader operator for asphalt plant
• Yardman for unloading, loading or storing of materials whether with machine or by hand
• Process material with crusher, screener or other machines
• Maintenance and upkeep of asphalt plant
• Perform work in a safe and efficient manner
• Check equipment for safe operation
• Maintenance of equipment
• Any other duties assigned

Must be able to:

• Follow safety requirements as required/needed by job
• Follow policies and procedures
• Have the physical ability to perform strenuous work in extreme weather conditions, heat, cold and wet and dusty conditions
• Work together
• Communicate verbally and written
• Work independently with minimal supervision

Work an irregular schedule, overtime, weekends if needed

Education and Work Experience

• Prior heavy equipment/truck repair/service experience
  • Diesel engines
  • Gas engines
  • Hydraulic systems
  • Electrical systems
• Should possess a high school diploma
• Willingness to learn and perform other duties

Drivers License

• Class D operators license required
• Class B minimum preferred
• Clean driving record

Drug-Free Safety Program

• You will be required to pass a drug test
• Random/Post accident/Reasonable suspicion testing
