Asset Protection Security Officer

Summary

The Asset Protection Security Officer (APSO) plays a crucial role in ensuring the safety and security of Father Joe’s Village assets. The APSO is responsible for access control, monitoring and reviewing CCTV to maximize the system’s effectiveness, and promptly detecting any malfunctions or disruptions in the Security CCTV system, taking corrective actions as needed. In addition, the APSO patrols retail stores, and other FJV facilities, providing a strong security presence and implementing best practices to protect assets and mitigate risks.

Essential Functions

• Monitor and review CCTV and Access Control to ensure the safety and security of company assets.
• Patrol retail stores, warehouses, and other facilities to maintain a visible security presence and deter theft.
• Conduct regular inspections of CCTV surveillance equipment, including, the access control system, monitors, servers ensuring they are fully operational, and coordinate repairs as needed.
• Implement best practices to protect assets and mitigate risks to the organization.
• Document incidents and investigations, including reviews of CCTV footage, and collaborate with law enforcement in consult with Legal counsel as necessary.
• Respond to asset protection and operational concerns from associates and remain focused on store-specific business objectives.
• Performs all other duties as assigned, ensuring timely completion of assigned training policies. This includes suggestion supplementary administrative, technical, or physical measures to safeguard assets and reduce the likelihood of risk or loss to the organization

Qualifications

• Associate degree or equivalent experience.
• 3-5 Years of Security experience, including knowledge of CCTV and access control systems.
• CA Guard Card certification or comparable law enforcement certification with an emphasis or Security surveillance and investigations
• Minimum age of 25 with a minimum of 3 years of driving experience; possesses a California drivers license; has no Class 1 or more then Class 2 violations within the past 36 months.
