JOB DESCRIPTION -- Automotive Mechanic / Technician

M&J Auto Sales and Service is an independent auto dealer and service shop located in Hartford WI. We are seeking a technician that is personable, loves what they do, and is looking for a place to grow their career. JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

• Safety Inspect, Diagnose and repair our dealership vehicles.
• Diagnose, troubleshoot and make recommendations for repairs to our guests' vehicles.
• Adequately explain technical diagnoses and needed repairs to non-mechanical individuals which may include employees and customers on an as-needed basis.
• Perform work specified on repair orders with efficiency.
• Be a team player - assist fellow technicians/mechanics in performing technical activities.
• Perform test drives with attention to detail and respect for our guests' belongings.
• Maintain an organized and neat bay.
• Continuously learn new technical information and techniques in formal training sessions in order to stay up to date with rapidly changing automotive technology.
• Adhere to all company policy, procedure, safety and environmental rules.

QUALIFICATIONS

• Minimum of 3- 5 years experience as an Automotive Technician with mechanical diagnosis, problem solving and repair experience.
• Automotive Service Excellence (ASE) certifications a plus.
• Valid driver's license and clean(ish) driving record.
• Working knowledge of shop equipment such as wheel and tire equipment, diagnostic equipment, AC equipment and alignment machine.
