Ackerman SFC Personal Trainer

Ackerman SFC is a vibrant and community-focused fitness center committed to promoting health and wellness. As a Personal Trainer, you will be responsible for creating personalized workout plans, providing tailored fitness guidance, and inspiring clients to reach their full potential. We are looking for someone with excellent communication skills, a passion for fitness, and the ability to motivate and support clients throughout their fitness journey.

Responsibilities

• Conduct fitness assessments and consultations to understand clients' goals, health history, and fitness levels. 
• Develop customized workout programs tailored to individual needs, ensuring variety and progression.
• Provide hands-on instruction, guidance, and motivation during personal training sessions.
• Monitor clients' progress and make necessary adjustments to their fitness plans.
• Educate clients on proper exercise techniques, nutrition, and overall wellness.
• Demonstrate a commitment to delivering exceptional customer service and building strong client-trainer relationships.
• Available for floor hours to assist members and guests on the fitness floor with proper equipment use and handling.
• Assist with cleaning and maintaining exercise equipment, free weights area, locker rooms and general fitness area.  
• Stay informed about industry trends, new fitness techniques, and relevant certifications. 

Qualifications

• Nationally recognized personal training certificate (e.g. NASAM, ACE, ACSM, ISSA).
• CPR/AED/First aid certification is required, or aptitude to obtain within 60 days (GEPD training available). 
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills with a desire to provide quality customer service.
• Ability to motivate and inspire clients to achieve their fitness goals. 
• Knowledge of exercise physiology, anatomy, and nutrition.
• Previous experience in personal training is preferred.
• Effective problem-solving skills with the ability to act calmly and efficiently in difficult or emergency situations.
• Mechanical aptitude to troubleshoot and perform minor equipment repairs a plus.
