Job Title: IV Pharmacy Technician

Location: Greensburg, PA 15601

Shift:

· Need 1 IV Technician to work 11am-7pm, possible weekends.

· Need 2 IV Technicians to work 1-11pm, possible weekends.

· Need 2 IV Technicians to work 8pm-7am 7on/7off.

*The 8pm-7am shift will not start until the end of May, and they will need to work first shift during training

Pay: $20.00/hr.

Scheduled Pay: Bi-Weekly

IV Pharmacy Tech Description/Duties

• May be responsible for cleaning and maintaining Sterile Compounding room and QA
• Works under direct supervision of a Registered Pharmacist, fills prescriptions and prepares Sterile Compounding
• May be responsible for staging, preparing, filling orders for residents at long term care facilities.
• Responsible for staging, preparing, filling orders for Alere, high-risk pregnant women.
• May be responsible for compounding Sterile Compounding orders and syringes for Alere in a Class 100 clean room including compounding medications from non-sterile powders
• May be responsible for data entry and to assist pharmacist with calling nursing home and/or Alere for refill orders
• Responsible for maintaining, cleaning and accountability of pumps

IV Pharmacy Tech Requirements

• Licenses/Certifications: As required by state regulations
• 6 months-1 year of IV pharmacy technician experience
• High School Diploma or GED
