Senior Accountant

The Senior Accountant is a hybrid role, mostly performed remotely.

The Senior Accountant will work closely with management and staff on a wide variety of daily activities. The position will be responsible for the accounting and financial reporting for clients in a range of industries. Working cooperatively and collaboratively with all levels of employees, management and clients is essential to maximize performance, creativity, problem solving and results.

Duties:

· Analyze revenues and expenses to ensure they are recorded appropriately

· Produce and/or assist with payroll processing and verifying finished product.

· Assist with commission reports; analyzing and correcting discrepancies

· Assist in documentation and monitoring of internal controls

· Facilitate and complete monthly close procedures

· Generated journal entries, performed monthly bank account reconciliations, and completed balance sheet reconciliations.

· Prepare financial statements and supporting schedules according to monthly close schedule

· Assist with analyzing financial statements and report on variances

· Assist with financial and tax audits

· Assist with preparing tax returns and corporate reporting requirements

· Protect organization's value by keeping information confidential.

· Other projects as assigned

Skills and Qualifications:

· Bachelor’s in Accounting

· 5+ years accounting experience

· Experience in manufacturing, distribution, and inventory

· AP and AR experience

· Strong understanding of accounting theory

· Sales & Use Tax Reporting

· Proficiency in QuickBooks Desktop and QuickBooks online

· Understanding of QB Web Connector accounting applications

· Highly detail oriented and organized in work

· Ability to meet assigned deadlines

· Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with a customer service focus

· Ability to act and operate independently with minimal daily direction to accomplish objectives

· Proficiency with email and Microsoft Office applications, including Excel and Word

· Ability to travel to client offices in the DFW area if necessary

· CPA a plus, but not required
