Job Description

JOB SUMMARY:

Assists the Supply Officer and Supply Clerk in the acquisition and delivery of supplies and equipment for the Hall County Fleet Maintenance Department.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Maintains up-to-date and accurate inventory tracking of all parts, supplies and equipment disbursed to the Fleet Maintenance Shop or County departments.

Delivers requested supplies and equipment to facilities as needed.

Acquires and receives supplies and equipment from vendors either on-site, or from the vendors warehouse, to include lifting and loading up to 100 lbs.

Assists in the filing of Fleet Maintenance work orders and related paperwork.

Regular and predictable attendance is required.

Performs other related duties as may be required.

Typewriter Radio Equipment Database programs

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED:

Education and Experience:

High School Diploma or G.E.D.

Any equivalent combination of education and experience, which provides the minimum level of qualifications, stated above.

Licenses and Certifications:

Valid Class B Driver’s License and a satisfactory Motor Vehicle Record;

Meet all in-house testing requirements.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

Knowledge of department rules and regulations.

Ability to maintain effective working relationships with employees, the public and with vendors.

Ability to communicate clearly and effectively, both orally and in writing.

ADA Minimum Qualifications:

Physical Ability: Essential functions continuously require the ability to remain in a stationary position (sitting or standing) and the ability to move by walking; move oneself by crawling on hands and knees; ascend and descend ladders, stairs, and ramps; maintain body equilibrium to prevent failing when walking, standing, crouching or navigating narrow, slippery or erratically moving surfaces; bend body downward and forward by bending spine and legs, twisting at the waist, hips or knees; and move about on hands and knees and feet; move/transport items over 100lbs. Incumbents constantly must think analytically; handle stress and emotion, concentrate on tasks, remember names and other details; examine and observe details; make decisions, and adjust to change.

Additionally, the essential functions require that incumbents regularly handle confidential information, direct others; meet deadlines; operate equipment; use a computer/keyboard; use math/calculations; and stay organized. Incumbents frequently attend regular work meetings and training and must occasionally be on-call; work irregular hours; and direct others.

Sensory Requirements: Essential functions require the ability to use effective verbal and written; use of hand/eye coordination and fine manipulation to use tools and equipment; communication; visually discern differences in color,

Environmental Factors: Essential functions are continuously performed with exposure to risk of bodily injury from chemical and sharp objects/tools; dirty environments. Incumbents will be required to work alone or with others continuously.

Essential functions are frequently performed with exposure to extreme temperatures and humidity outside; risk of bodily injury from biological and heavy machinery hazards; falling from high places/heights; falling objects; fumes, gasses, orders, dust, grease, oil or mud; moving mechanical parts; and wet, slippery floors/surfaces.

Essential functions are occasionally performed with exposure to extreme temperatures inside; risk of bodily injury from electrical or radiation; working in constricted spaces; extremely dry environments and vibration.
