Armed Security Officer

Vets Securing America (VSA) is hiring ARMED SECURITY OFFICERS for a medical facility in Ft. Worth area!

Schedule Needed: Full time/Part time and weekend flex schedule.

Responsibilities:

The selected individuals will patrol and secure the premises, as well as identify risks to staff and patrons. The Armed guard will primarily monitor inmates who are visiting for medical treatment. Must show presence, be courteous, good communication is needed. Must be visible, alert, and aware of surroundings. Periodic patrols if needed as needed.

• Monitor premises to prevent theft, violence, or infractions of rules
• Thoroughly examine doors, windows, and gates to ensure proper function and security
• Warn violators of premise rules and regulations
• Apprehend or expel persons engaging in suspicious or criminal acts
• Report any facility issues such as fire hazards and leaking water pipes
• Request emergency personnel for high-risk situations

​QUALIFICATIONS:

• MUST have valid state issued Armed Guard Card
• Previous experience in security, law enforcement, or other related fields is preferred
• Familiarity with security equipment
• Ability to handle physical workload
• Strong attention to detail
• Must be authorized to work in the United States

**Employment contingent upon satisfactory background check and drug test

**Must be able to meet and continue to meet any applicable state, county and municipal licensing requirements for Security Officers.

Occasional reaching with hands and arms, stooping, kneeling, crouching and crawling. Frequent sitting, standing and walking, which may be required for long periods of time, and may involve climbing stairs and walking up inclines and on uneven terrain. Additional physical requirements may include, frequent lifting and/or moving up to 10 pounds and occasional lifting and/or moving up to 25 pounds.
