Position: Final Control Manager

Location: Bothell, WA

Purpose: Effectively manage a team of engineers and inside sales staff to achieve company goals and initiatives in a manner consistent with company objectives and values.

Success Factors:

1. People – Manages direct reports effectively through regular cadence that is productive and through timely feedback including performance assessments and coaching. Actively engages and supports direct reports in discussions around personal and career development.
2. Workflow – Prioritizes and manages direct reports’ engineering, quotation, order entry, expediting, and shop production activities to ensure internal and external deadlines are met and quality standards are achieved.
3. Sales Effectiveness - Provides coaching to direct reports to ensure "Solution Selling" strategies are employed and business unit sales and profitability goals are met.

Responsibilities:

• Models and supports Applied Control’s Vision, Core Values, and Objectives.
• Establishes and manages account coverage guidelines to balance workflow, maximize the strengths of direct reports, and meet or exceed customer expectations.
• Demonstrates ability to build high morale and group commitment of Final Control team members to company goals and objectives.
• Exhibits interest and understanding of Applied Control’s customers and markets.
• Conducts regular cadence and performance appraisal meetings to support personal development and growth of direct reports.
• Participates in the hiring and onboarding of new employees including recruiting, interviewing and implementing technical / sales training programs.
• Assists in managing relationships with Applied Control’s principal manufacturers including submitting regular reports and supporting annual review meetings.
• Assists in developing and implementing programs to support Applied Control’s and principal manufacturers’ business initiatives.
• Develops and refines tools and work practices to ensure delivery of clean orders and instructions to the shop and warehouse.
• Develops and refines tools and work practices to ensure delivery of clean orders and instructions to the Customer Order Specialists.
• Monitors and manages inventory to ensure high levels of customer service and efficient use of company capital.

Skills/Qualifications:

• B.S. Engineering strongly preferred.
• Technical knowledge of valves and instrumentation.
• Demonstrated ability to lead a sales team and understanding of Solution Selling principles.
• Demonstrated leadership ability.
• Excellent interpersonal and written communication skills.
• Excellent organizational skills.
• 1 -5 years people management required.

Working Conditions: Entails mostly work in an office environment with some shop activities.

Compensation:

Salary: $75,600-124,200, dependent on relevant job-related and industry experience. Most candidates with less than 5 years of experience will be hired in the $75,600- 95,000 range.

Other: Eligible for annual profit share award
