7th/8th Math Teacher

Spring Creek Charter School is seeking a 7th and 8th Grade Math Teacher to join our dedicated team of educators. In this role, you will have the opportunity to shape the minds of young mathematicians and help them build a strong foundation in math concepts.

A unique aspect of this opportunity is that this position would put you on a team of two teachers who would be teaching 7th and 8th grade math to only 80 students over 4 class periods. The opportunity for small class sizes, collaborative planning with a partner, and the ability to reach students at their level makes this a very attractive position!

• Develop and implement engaging and comprehensive math lesson plans.
• Foster a positive and inclusive learning environment.
• Provide individualized support to students to ensure their understanding of math concepts.
• Assess student performance and provide timely feedback.
• Collaborate with other teachers and staff to develop interdisciplinary projects and initiatives.
• Participate in professional development opportunities to enhance teaching skills and stay up-to-date with the latest teaching methods.
• Communicate regularly with parents to keep them informed about their child's progress.

• Bachelor's degree in Education, Mathematics, or a related field.
• Florida Teaching certification in Math 5-9 or 6-12
• Prior experience teaching middle school students is preferred.
• Strong knowledge of middle school math curriculum and concepts.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to adapt teaching methods to meet the diverse learning needs of students.
• Patience and ability to work effectively with students of different abilities.
