White House Utility District has an opening for a GIS Supervisor. The GIS Supervisor is responsible for maintaining the Geographic Information System (GIS) to provide accurate data and an accurate inventory of the District's water and wastewater infrastructure and assets. The GIS Supervisor will plan, direct and inspect the work of a team of GIS Specialists. The starting pay for this position is $66,000/annual. Wages may be negotiated based on prior experience, applicable certifications and licenses and other credentials.
Responsibilities of the GIS Supervisor include:
1. Supervising a team of GIS Specialists, providing critical feedback and instruction and holding the GIS Specialists accountable for their work and interaction with others.
2. Developing, implementing, adjusting and maintaining standard procedures to ensure the quality and availability of information to end users.
3.Communicating regularly with staff to support the workflows, initiatives and goals of the District and ensuring end user needs are met.
4. Managing GIS databases, including data entry, schema changes, and database maintenance.
To qualify, a candidate must have a Bachelor's degree, at least three years of supervisory experience with direct reports and experience with:
1. ESRI ArcGIS Enterprise
2. ESRI ArcGIS Online
3. ESRI Desktop Applications
4. ESRI Mobile Applications
Candidates must have a valid driver's license and pass a thorough and extensive background check and pre-employment drug screen.
