This position is for an experienced Project Manager of 10+ years of Public Works experience, that has a strong technical background and the ambition to develop business in collaboration with regional and corporate leadership. The tasks and responsibilities include; preparation and processing of public works plans, specifications and estimates, mentoring and leading a successful design team through a positive team environment, ensuring quality control is maintained by following company procedures, presenting at public agency meetings and professional organizations, and active involvement in the growth of the pubic works division through the preparation of proposals, participation in interviews, ongoing high level client service and development of new client relations.

Qualifications

Candidate will have a bachelor’s degree in civil engineering, a minimum of ten (10) years of public works experience or the equivalent of fifteen (15) years of total work experience is preferred. Arizona Registration as a Professional Civil Engineer in good standing with the Arizona Board of Technical Registration is required.

• Candidates will have demonstrated the ability to develop business together with significant experience in client and public-agency interactions.
• Position generally requires extensive experience and demonstrated engineering abilities in all aspects of public works infrastructure projects and in interacting comfortably and productively with clients and public agencies.
• Supervision and mentorship of engineering designers and project engineers/managers (including daily assignments of work).
• Review of work, and implementation of quality assurance & control procedures
• Management of project schedules and budgets, preparation of contracts, fee proposals, and scopes of work.
• Produce and coordinate several projects concurrently with internal and external disciplines.
• Coordinate staffing and workload through project development, design, and construction on time and within budget.
• Candidates will have demonstrated the ability to grow and maintain talented staff members.
• MS Office and MS Project experience is required.
• Independent thought and decision-making abilities
• Possess management and supervisory skills.
• Be adept in establishing and maintaining strong and positive working relationships with clients and public agency personnel as well as in-house professional peers.
