Summary:
The purpose of this position is to support Toll Collection and Intelligent Transportation Systems. This is accomplished by configuring, deploying/installing, monitoring, and maintaining systems, troubleshooting systems issues, tracking system trends, testing equipment and applications. Other duties include building equipment chassis, mounting tolling and CCTV equipment on roadway structures, installing/pulling wire, and cable, configure DMS signs, installation and configuration of RWIS sensors, documenting/logging maintenance issues and supporting technicians with proper policies and procedures including installations standards. The position also requires technicians to be on a rotating on call schedule and be able to obtain a Class B CDL license if requested. This position will require the technician to be flexible with scheduling for night and weekend work due to installations of new projects and emergency type issues needing immediate attention.

Responsibilities:
- Supports and maintains Tolling and ITS systems and equipment by troubleshooting problems, equipment failures, replacing defective parts, upgrading, installing software/firmware updates on various devices, maintaining gate controllers, and troubleshooting data network.
- Completes cabling and wiring of cabinets and gantry buildings. This is achieved through means of understanding color coded cable.
- Documents work through ticketing system and reporting communication through email.
- Interfaces equipment to hardware, configures IP based equipment, and runs commands with the ability to understand Linux OS.
- Works with analytics team to resolve issues.
- Assists in testing and preparing equipment for production.
- Installs CCTV pole and mounts, deploys UPS batteries in weights of 75lbs and more, mounts tolling equipment, transports tolling cabinets, and cable spools.
- Performs arial work of up to 100ft with the assistance of a bucket truck
- Installs new gantries during construction phases of projects which will involve constant bending, the use of mechanical tools and lengthy periods standing.
Qualifications:
Minimum:
- Associates degree or equivalent
- At least 2 years and up to and including 3 years of technical experience.
- Valid Driver’s license.
- Ability to operate Bucket Truck controls and work at various heights up to 100ft.
- Ability to load and unload equipment (up to 100lbs) using the winch and ability to pull trailers.
Preferred:
- Axis Certification
- CDL License
- Linux Certification
