Title: Travel RN- Operating Room

Responsibilities:

• Perform instrument counts prior to each procedure
• Perform scrub functions (if appropriately trained, and comfortable with this duty)
• Collect and label specimens taken during surgical procedure
• Room turnovers as part of a Team
• Duties may additionally include functioning as a unit support technician and in the OR core.
• Follow all facility Policies and Procedures related to position and role in the O.R.
• Follow all federal, state and departmental safety procedures
• Responsible for the clinical record for each patient receiving nursing care.
• Assures that progress reports are made to the physician for patients receiving nursing services, when the patient's condition changes, or there are deviations from the plan of care.
• Adheres to facility's policies and procedures, including patient care policies.
• Performs initial patient evaluations / assessments and develops a written plan of care.

Requirements:

• Demonstrates ability to measure effectiveness of care provided and documents same;
• Performs variance analysis related to outcome data for performance improvement;
• Designs, implements, and evaluates systems to improve care in Unit;
• Keeps accurate documentation of patient’s treatment, activity and condition;
• Uses appropriate methods of documentation according to departmental policy.

EDUCATION EXPERIENCE AND TRAINING:

• RN Licensure required
• Covid Vaccination Card required
• ACLS and BLS Required
