Job Title: 2nd Shift Staff Registered Nurse (RN)

Job Description:

Position Overview: We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Registered Nurse (RN) to join our team for the 2nd shift at our facility in Lexington, NE. This position will play a crucial role in delivering health and safety programs and services to our workers and worker populations. The ideal candidate will have a passion for occupational health nursing, with a focus on promoting and restoring health, preventing illness and injury, and ensuring protection from work-related and environmental hazards.

Responsibilities:

• Provide comprehensive nursing care to employees during the 2nd shift hours of 4:00 p.m. to 12:30 a.m.
• Collaborate with healthcare providers and management to develop and implement health and safety programs.
• Conduct health assessments, screenings, and evaluations to identify potential health risks and concerns among employees.
• Administer treatments, medications, and vaccinations as prescribed.
• Document all patient interactions and interventions accurately and efficiently using our electronic medical documentation system.
• Educate employees on health promotion, disease prevention, and workplace safety practices.
• Respond promptly to medical emergencies and provide appropriate interventions as needed.
• Maintain a safe and clean work environment, adhering to infection control and OSHA guidelines.
• Participate in staff meetings, training sessions, and quality improvement initiatives as required.

Qualifications:

• Current unrestricted state license as a Registered Nurse (RN) is required.
• Preferably 1+ years of experience in a nursing field; clinical hours may be acceptable for graduate nurses.
• Basic computer skills with the ability to work efficiently with electronic medical documentation systems.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Excellent problem-solving and organizational abilities.
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and collaborate with multidisciplinary teams.
• CPR certification and other relevant certifications preferred.
