Position Summary: Prepare portions of contract proposal estimates, including the determination of applicable projects plans and specifications. Will work on estimating small service and large construction jobs. This role will be based out of our Shoreline, WA office and is Monday – Friday.

Qualifications Required:

· 4-year Engineering degree or equivalent combinations of technical and field training and/or experience.

· 2 + years estimating and advanced knowledge of estimating techniques.

· Experience working with McCormick Software.

· Experience with estimating Electrical projects.

· Advanced computer skills in MS Office Suite.

· Must be able communicate clearly, both written and spoken.

· Must be able to legally work for any employer in the United States of America.

Essential Functions and Responsibilities:

· Review proposal specifications and drawings to determine scope of work and required contents of estimate.

· Prepare estimates by calculating complete takeoff of scope of work and enter computer estimating system. Review computer printout for accuracy and completeness.

· Maintain files of working documents as back-up for estimate figures, including current (accurate) information on prices from suppliers through direct contact, sales brochures, price lists, etc.

· Identify qualified suppliers/subcontractors and solicit quotes. Review quotes for completeness with plans & specs.

· May review design options and recommend best solution based on cost, engineering quality, or availability of materials.

· Draft scope inclusions, exclusions, & clarifications for estimates.

· Perform additional assignments per supervisor’s direction.

· Upkeep of estimating log and monthly reporting to management.
