Warehouse Forklift/Stock Picker Operator - Swing Shift

Our Equipment Operators are responsible for using a Stock Picker or other equipment to load, unload, move, stack, stage, put away, replenish and count product and materials. Work on a small Swing shift team to move products in prep for same day service and fill Embroidery Production teams working. Uses radio frequency (RF) equipment for picking, receiving, put away and replenishment as required. This position will spend time unloading trailers in all weather. The operator is accountable for the safe and efficient operation of the equipment and may also be required to perform Order Filler/Picker duties. Our swing shift starts at 2pm and ends at 1030pmPay rates dependent on experience beginning at $21 per hour plus $.50/hour shift differential and the ability to earn incentive up to $4 per hour paid each pay period.

Our Location: Our Renton Distribution Center is located in the heart of the Ikea Commercial District where we have 200,000 square feet of state of the art production and inventory. We maximize our facility with two shifts of production, five days per week. We enjoy a culturally diverse workforce and promote team orientated solutions to delight our customers.

Essential Functions:

1. Process Timely Shipments

• Pull and prepare product for shipment as scheduled
• Unload, receive and put away inbound product quickly and efficient

2. Maintain a Safe Work Place

• Maintain the facility’s equipment and materials
• Maintain a clean, neat and orderly work area
• Comply with OSHA and MSDS Standards and Certification requirements
• Operate all equipment in a safe and efficient manner following prescribed work methods
• Complete daily PIT Equipment safety inspection forms and accident/incident reports as required

3. Keep all Customers Satisfied

• Perform picking duties in an efficient and accurate manner that meets customer service standards and expectations
• Perform put away in an efficient and accurate manner to assure integrity in WMi

4. Maintain an Efficient Workplace

• Efficiently stack, store and retrieve merchandise in the appropriate areas
• Efficiently move product as required
• Use radio frequency equipment as required
• Pull cases as required in a safe, efficient, accurate and timely manner.

5. Always Perform Accurate Transactions

• Ensure inbound and outbound shipments are accurate and free of damage
• Report quality variances or issues
• Use WMi functionality to verify carton count on each pallet of put away

6. Meet Standard Productivity Measurements

• Ensure proper stock rotation
• Keep appropriate records and reports to guarantee that tight inventory control and security are maintained
• Assist in physical inventories and cycle counting

As an essential function of this position, the employee must be able to handle high levels of stress satisfactorily and be congenial with other employees and customers at all times. The employee must not pose a threat to the safety of others. Ability to constantly lift and carry over 30 lbs boxes overhead.

· A high school education or equivalent

· One to two years experience in warehousing/distribution

· Depending on Department - Forklift certified, Reach Truck certified, or Stock Picker certified

· Computer knowledge and experience preferred, but not required

Work Environment:

Warehouse - fluctuating temperatures by season. Constant walking and cross training in other roles.

Cross-training provided for this position provides opportunities for overtime on a regular and seasonal basis.
