Position Overview:

We are seeking a highly motivated and skilled travel Rad Tech to join our talented team. As a Rad Tech at WTCP, you will have the opportunity to contribute to patient care and improve their outcomes.   • The location is in Fairbanks, AK
  • The working schedule for this role is Tuesday - Saturday. 8a - 4:30p
  • Weekend rotation: schedule includes ongoing weekends
  • The duration is 26 weeks as a contractor
  • The anticipated start for this role is two weeks after an accepted offer
  • Holiday requirements are not required
  • On-call requirements are not required
  • Floating requirements as needed
  • Free housing included. Only 1 bedroom units available. Pets units are NOT available
  • The pay: $83.06 Hourly ($60.00 Taxable, $23.06 Stipend) = $2,990.00 Weekly = $11,960.00 Monthly Gross

Key Responsibilities:

  • Performing Diagnostic Imaging Procedures by operating imaging equipment to capture images of a patient's body for diagnostic purposes
  • Ensuring Patient Safety by following safety protocols to protect patients from unnecessary radiation exposure
  • Collaborating with Healthcare Team to determine the best imaging techniques for each patient and to discuss imaging results
  • Maintaining Records of each imaging procedure, including patient information, imaging results, and any additional notes from the procedure
  • Educating Patients to explain procedures to patients, answer questions, and provide support to help them feel comfortable during imaging tests
  • Staying Current with Technology to stay up-to-date with advances in imaging technology and techniques to provide the best possible care to patients
  • Ensuring Quality Control to perform quality control tests on equipment to ensure images meet diagnostic standards

Qualifications:

  • 2+ years as Rad Tech with extensive Ortho experience; will be doing diagnostic and surgical exams to include portables and c-arms as well as Fluoro cases
  • 5+ years
  • Rad Tech license in the state of practice
  • ARRT Cert/BLS
