Position Overview: The Special Projects HVAC Mechanic executes the installation of ductwork and assists with HVAC system replacements in commercial settings. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in HVAC ductwork, with a focus on quality craftsmanship and attention to detail.

Responsibilities:

Installing, inspecting, and repairing HVAC duct systems in accordance with project specifications and industry standards.
Reading and interpreting blueprints, technical drawings, and specifications to plan duct layouts and installations.
Fabricating ductwork components using various materials and tools, ensuring proper sizing and fit.
Conducting ductwork modifications, upgrades, and retrofits as needed to improve system performance.
Working with a small team to install/replace commercial HVAC/R equipment and assisting Service Technicians with HVAC/R system repairs as needed.
Collaborating with project manager and other team members to coordinate project timelines and deliverables.
Providing excellent customer service and effectively communicating with clients regarding project status and recommendations.
Safely drives company vehicle, follows requirements of company vehicle driving policy and adheres to all safety requirements.

Requirements:

High school diploma or GED equivalent.
Proven experience in the HVAC/R field, with a focus on sheet metal/duct work.
Experience with ductwork installation and fabrication, including cutting, bending, assembling, and sealing components.
Proficiency in reading and interpreting blueprints, technical drawings, and specifications.
Preferred - Experience with electrical wiring related to HVAC/R systems and/or experience working with cranes setting RTU's.
Physical ability to lift up to 85 pounds and work in various environments/conditions. Must be physically fit and able to perform tasks that require bending, kneeling, climbing, and working at heights.
Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact professionally with clients and team members.
Must possess a valid driver's license with an insurable driving record.
Must pass a drug screen and background check.
