Pharmacy Technician

The Pharmacy Technician is responsible for serving customers and accurately billing for and dispensing prescription medication. He/She is also expected to dispense medication ready for pick up, record sales on the cash register, collect co-payments, answer phone calls, perform administrative tasks, assist with merchandising responsibilities, such as stocking, pricing and keeping the store neat, clean and organized. Summary of essential job functions: Provides prompt, courteous customer service Processes prescription medication and assists in dispensing Retrieves and dispenses bagged prescription medication ready for pick up Ensures customers receive medication on time by following up on refills and problem RXs Answers phone calls and assists in communication with clinics, hospitals, and other medical centers Rings up all sales on cash register, properly and accurately handling money, credit/debit cards, checks and other types of payment received for products sold Assists in ordering merchandise and maintaining proper inventory levels Assists in making supplier/bill payments Stocks products and straightens shelves Assists in creating store displays and promotions Performs housecleaning duties necessary to maintain store cleanliness and basic upkeep and/or cleaning of all equipment in the store Basic Filing and Paperwork Performs all duties with minimal supervision; may be required to performs other duties as assigned Employment Type: Full Time Years Experience: Less than 1 year Salary: $15 - $16 Hourly Bonus/Commission: No
