Job Summary:

At Home Companions is seeking a compassionate and dedicated New Jersey Certified Home Health Aide (CHHA) to join our team in Teaneck, New Jersey. This is a full-time, hourly healthcare/medical position where you will provide essential care and support to a female client in her home. As a CHHA, you will have the opportunity to make a positive impact on the lives of individuals in our community while working alongside a team of professionals who value quality care and excellence.

Compensation & Benefits:

As a CHHA at At Home Companions, you will earn a competitive hourly wage of $18 to $20 per hour, paid biweekly. 

Responsibilities:

• Provide personal care to clients, including assistance with bathing, grooming, and dressing
• Assist with medication reminders and administration, as directed by a healthcare professional
• Prepare and serve meals according to dietary restrictions and client preferences
• Assist with light housekeeping tasks, such as laundry and tidying up living spaces
• Accompany clients to appointments or outings, providing transportation when necessary
• Monitor and report any changes in client health or behavior to a healthcare professional
• Maintain accurate and thorough documentation of care provided
• Comply with all company policies, procedures, and safety protocols
• Build and maintain positive relationships with clients and their families

Requirements:

• Must be a Certified Home Health Aide (CHHA) in the state of New Jersey
• Minimum of 1 year of experience working with elderly or disabled individuals
• Ability to pass a background check
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Compassionate, patient, and reliable
