Production Technician

JOB SUMMARY: The Production Technician is responsible for the mechanical and electrical assembly and adjustments of AVID brand rehabilitation products.  

ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES: Carries out responsibilities in accordance with the organizational policies and procedures. Essential duties and responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following. Other duties may be assigned as needed. 

• Set-up AVID products for customers as requested on orders (to include mechanical and electrical assembly and adjustments to satisfy orders). 
• Thoroughly test units to ensure all functions operate properly.  
• Log all serial numbers of serialized sections used on order.  
• Stock shelves in AVID building.  
• Package product properly for shipment.  
• Keep logistics informed of the status of orders.  
• Quality Control Evaluation and reporting to AVID supervisor.  
• Assist in technical review of all returned materials. 
• Assist team members with questions regarding customer returns. 
• Return all items to inventory or discard based on technical inspection and final disposition. 
• Maintain OSHA Safety guidelines and other regulatory State and Federal standards. 
• Maintain cleanliness of the AVID support work area. 
• Electronically send documents, diagrams, and specifications to customers. 
• Follow company safety policies and participate in Safety Training as required. 
• Performs other related duties as assigned. 
  
  

COMPETENCIES & QUALIFICATIONS: To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required. 

• Must abide by Company safety policies and participate in Safety Training as required.  
• Must have a basic understanding of electrical, hydraulic, and other systems 
• Working knowledge of tools, common appliances, and devices. 
• Manual dexterity, good physical condition and strength, and good balance is needed for safety. 
• Problem-solving skills are needed. 
• A willingness to work overtime, arrive early, and/or stay late according to business / project needs. 
• Must be dependable with an excellent attendance record.  
• Must have an employment record free and clear of any serious infarctions including, but not limited to, a history free and clear of limitations which may cause/may have caused safety concerns, issues, incidents and/or accidents. 
• Manual dexterity, good physical condition and strength, and good balance is needed for safety.  
• Problem solving and trouble shooting skills are needed.  
• A willingness to work overtime as per business needs.  
• Must speak, read, and write English.  
• Must have a valid US driver’s license in good standing and maintain throughout employment. 
• Must be legally authorized to work in the United States.  

Educational Requirements: A high school diploma with at least one (1) year of relevant experience; or an equivalent combination of closely related experience, education, and/or training.  

Physical Demands:  While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand, walk, stoop, kneel, crouch, climb/climb ladders, or balance; use of hands to handle or feel objects, tools, or controls; reach with hands and arms; frequently required to talk or hear. The employee is required to safely lift or move up to seventy-five (75) pounds.
