QC Assistant Scientist

What You'll Do:
 

• Responsible for conducting the testing of Raw Materials and Finished Product for US Based Concentrate Manufacturing Plant managing microbiological testing.
• Delivers accurate and timely results of all raw materials and semi-finished components so that dispositions can be made ensuring no down time to the Operations Team.
• Conduct micro testing of raw materials and finished products.
• Oversee site micro testing program, including retrieving samples, plating, water testing, CIP validations and interpreting results.
• Ability to analyze and interpret data, reporting results orally and in written documentation.
• Maintains all records in accordance with protocol.
• Maintains the stock of all Micro Lab consumables.
• Leading by example with a clear commitment to personal safety, process safety, and food safety
• Ability to analyze and process high volumes of information and manage multiple priorities in a timely manner, with precise attention to detail, a high degree of accuracy, and follow-through in problem-solving.
• Compliance with all GMP, OSHA and Plant Safety Policies.
• Responsible for maintaining and complying with all applicable Federal, State, and Local regulations and standards.
• Authority to immediately address safety/quality risks.

 
What You’ll Bring:
 

• Experience working in a microbiology lab required.
• Knowledgeable of media preparation & sterilization.
• Demonstration of aseptic technique.
• Skilled in both pour-plate and membrane filtration type testing.
• Self-Motivated individual with strong Quality Systems experience.
• BS in Microbiology, Chemistry, or related field.
• This is a first shift position but must be flexible to work different hours occasion.
