Job Description

Play a key role in our custom fabrication shop by preparing and painting our structures to specifications noted on our work orders. At times you will work with our paint shop team to prepare aluminum, steel, wood and plastic for paint. Other times you would be the person in the paint booth applying primer and paint to our custom made products. Don't worry about not being familiar with the specific paints we use, we'll train you how to use our Axalta mixing station to create the colors selected by our clients.

There are many opportunities to learn other trades at our company, if you just want to work in the paint shop all of the time we are fine with that too. I'm a great example of the opportunities available at Lawrence Fabric and Metal Structures. I spent 3 years inside of our paint booth before being asked to manage our entire production facility, now I'm the Vice President of our employee owned organization.

We would prefer to hire someone who has experience wearing a respirator while safely working around paint and paint related chemicals.
