Job Description

Rebate Pharmacy Technician

Hours: 8:30am-5:00pm, Monday-Friday

Pay: $19/ per hour

Location: Baltimore, MD

Job Description:

A Baltimore company is looking for a Rebate Pharmacy Technician to:

Research and resolve discrepancies with drug manufacturers
Contact providers and manufacturers daily
Provide claim level detail to drug manufacturers
Understand and be able to calculate reimbursement amounts
Determine prescriptions eligible for rebate
Create dispute reports
A background in research and problem resolution is preferred along with a MD Pharmacy technician certification.

Job Requirements:

2+ years of Pharmacy Technician experience (MD Certification REQUIRED)
Working knowledge of prescription drug card system
Experience with word processing and spreadsheet application
STRONG EXCEL SKILLS AND PRIOR AUTHORIZATION EXPERIENCE REQUIRED
Experience with multiple computer applications
Ability to analyze and resolve problems with minimal direction
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Demonstrated multi-tasking skills
Ability to train and guide future employees

Preferred Experience:

Hospital Pharmacy
Drug Rebate Experience
Intermediate Accounting skills
