Sales/ HR Clerk

Higher Taste is a local, family-owned food manufacturer specializing in Vegan and Vegetarian foods. We are seeking a dedicated individual to join our team as a Sales/HR Clerk! Opportunity for full time work schedule, advancement and pay increases. Join us as we fulfill our mission of bringing delicious plant based food to the PNW and beyond!
 

The Sales/HR Clerk is a dual role responsible for HR administration, increasing sales by finding new business opportunities, building relationships with employees and clients and providing exceptional customer service. The ideal candidate will be bilingual, fluent in English and Spanish.

Schedule:

Tuesday - Thursday 7:00 am - 2:30 pm or until the work is complete.
 

Job Responsibilities included, but not limited to:

• Answering phones, transferring calls and taking messages

• Develop a sales plan with clear systems that can be used repeatedly to achieve goalsCommunicate with other in-house departments that all customer paperwork has been completed

• Make sure our distribution networks can service the customer

• Follow up that new accounts have the products on the shelves with shelf tag stickers in place

• Follow up with clients 

• Recruitment: placing ads using various channels i.e. Indeed, community job boards and social media

• Replying to inquiries, setting up interviews, communicating appointments via calendar requests

• Conducting interviews: Asses candidates qualifications and present to hiring managers

• Facilitate the onboarding process for new hires, ensuring a smooth transition into the organization

• Serve as point of contact for employees regarding HR-related inquiries and concerns

• Stay current on labor laws ensuring compliance, update employee handbook as needed

• Provide guidance and support to employees on HR policies, procedures and best practices

• Help organize company events and team activities, recognition programs and service awards

• Call customers, take orders and process invoices as needed

Basic Qualifications:

• High school or equivalent (Preferred)

• 1+ years HR experience (Preferred) 

• 1+ years sales or customer service experience (Preferred)

• Knowledge of Microsoft programs (Word, Excel, Outlook, Power point, etc) with ability to learn HR software programs

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Accuracy and attention to detail required

• Ability to work independently, prioritize tasks and meet deadlines

• Be friendly and customer-service oriented

• Bilingual, fluent in English and Spanish (Required)

 Physical Requirements:

• Regularly required to talk and hear

• Frequently required to stand and to reach with hands and arms

• Ability to lift up to 55 lbs

• Ability to walk up and down stairs

Pay and Benefits:

• Pay range is $18.00 - $20.00 per hour, DOE. Overtime pays time and a half
