Working Model: On-site
A successful candidate will spend their time developing and characterizing new cell lines and performing ancillary services for our CDMO division.
Role/Department: Scientist, Cell Line Development and Validation
Reporting to the President of the division, this role is responsible for the development of cell lines and ancillary assays to support end to end offerings in our CDMO division. These new services include cell line development, cell line characterization and technical support in the research use only and diagnostic space to complement existing CDMO services.
Key responsibilities include:
- Development and characterization of mammalian cell lines
- Performance of assays to support validation of new cell lines
- Drafting documentation within regulatory compliance (GxP)
- Knowledge of necessary equipment and personnel requirements
- Assist in training of Jr. level staff
- Experience with supporting external customers
- Other tasks as directed by management
Skills/Qualifications:
- 10+ years of direct experience with developing new cell lines and cell line characterization techniques
- Extensive knowledge and experience of various mammalian cell line platforms (ESC's, IPSC's, Primary, Progenitors, Immortalized, etc.)
- Experience working in a contract research organization
- Strong organizational skills
- Excellent written and communication skills
