REQUIREMENTS:

Graduate from an accredited school of nursing
Active Wyoming RN license
Chemotherapy Certification
BLS (must obtain within 60 days of hire)
ACLS (must obtain within 1 year of hire)
Radiation Therapy Certificate Course must be taken within 1 year of hire
Previous experience in a hospital preferred
Previous experience with Radiation Oncology preferred

DESCRIPTION:

The Oncology Registered Nurse provides care to patients by administering fluids, chemotherapy, medications or blood products through injections, peripheral IV lines or central venous catheters.
The Radiation Oncology RN is responsible for the daily duties within the Radiation Oncology Clinic.
All care, treatment and services provided are within current Federal, State, Local Standards, Rules, Regulations and Guidelines to ensure that the highest degree of quality care is maintained at all times.
Assessment, planning, implementation and evaluation of all aspects of care for patients within scope of practice.
Provides education to patients according to their needs.
Transcribes, utilizes and implements protocols and physician orders.
Coordinates healthcare team and delegates appropriate tasks to ancillary personnel.
