Job Title: .NET Developer

Location: New Orleans, La - Hybrid

Contract: 12 months with possible extension

Position Overview:

We are seeking a talented and experienced .NET Developer to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in full stack .NET development, along with expertise in tax systems and financial applications. You will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining software solutions that meet the needs of our business and clients. This is an exciting opportunity to contribute to the development of cutting-edge applications in a dynamic and collaborative environment.

Responsibilities:

- Design and develop software features and applications using C#, Web APIs, and MS SQL Server.

- Translate business requirements into technical solutions.

- Establish coding standards, design patterns, and best practices.

- Conduct code reviews and ensure secure coding principles are followed.

- Troubleshoot and resolve application issues in collaboration with business and technical users.

- Install, configure, test, and implement new software to meet evolving business needs.

- Collaborate with end users, vendors, and leadership teams to optimize performance and improve user experience.

- Work independently with minimal supervision and demonstrate self-motivation and initiative.

Requirements:

- Bachelor's degree in a relevant field such as finance, statistics, mathematics, or computer science.

- Three (3) years of experience in system development life cycles and application software.

- Experience with tax systems of record and financial application domain.

- Proficiency in C#, Web APIs, and MS SQL Server for full stack .NET development.

- Knowledge of general database design principles.

- Experience with software engineering best practices including continuous delivery, code reviews, and secure coding principles.

- Excellent critical thinking, analytical, and problem-solving skills.

- Proficient in scripting in SQL and basic understanding of reporting tools.

- Expertise with GenTax application is a plus.

- Background in development in a tax environment preferred.

- Previous work in tax administration and development of new taxing programs desirable.

- Ability to design and support application programs effectively.

- Strong communication and collaboration skills.

Pay: $43.97 - $52.95 per hour
