Job Description
Extended Day (ED) staff work with our students in our after-school program. Our Extended Day program is a 2-hour playgroup-type atmosphere where kids play outside, snack, and relax by playing games and reading books indoors. Responsibilities and hours can increase based on need, interest, and competence. This is a great role for someone eager to learn about Montessori and work with young children in a new and growing school while working on a part-time basis.

Ideal Candidates

• Have a good attitude and a willingness to do a range of tasks
• Can work well independently and as part of a team
• Have previous experience working with children
• Have previous experience working in a Montessori environment (not required)
• Able to work between 3:30 p.m. and 5:30 p.m. daily during our balanced year calendar (additional hours may be available)
• Can be available to substitute in other classrooms (not required)
  
  

Responsibilities include

• Support the ED lead guide as needed.
• Honor Montessori principles in relationship to the children
• Maintain the safety & well-being of the children at all times.
  
  

Compensation
This is a part-time position with a competitive salary (commensurate with experience) and other benefits as outlined in the Staff Handbook. The hourly range for this position is $20-$22 per hour.
