Position Overview

This role will work alongside the BDC CFO to oversee the day-to-day work for StepStone US Private debt funds. It will also include the review of the loan and fund administrators for these funds. The role will be the 2nd finance hire directly responsible for the StepStone's growing US Private Debt business.

Essential Job Functions and Responsibilities

  • Review monthly and daily close process with fund accounting team and administrators
  • Responsible for valuation process on private debt
  • Prepare dividend and tender offer calculations
  • Prepare compliance files for RIC and BDC related tests
  • Support deal team on transactions if needed
  • Work on tax calculations and compliance
  • Help prepare and review SEC filings (10Ks/10Qs 8Ks N-Port)
  • Assist in board reporting package preparation

Education and/or Work Experience Requirements

  • Must have experience in accounting for funds with a credit strategy.
  • Four-year college degree
  • Minimum of five years of experience as an accountant, public accountant, fund administrator, or auditor.
  • Ideal candidates have experience with SEC registered credit vehicles like BDCs.

Salary Range - $140,000.00 - $200,000.00

The salary range is an estimate of pay for this position. Actual pay may vary depending on job-related factors that can include location, education, skill, and experience. The salary range does not include any benefits or other forms of possible compensation that may be available to employees.
