ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND TASKS:

  1. Manage and oversee the relationship and uphold performance of the contracted Housekeeping Service Provider.
  2. Inspection of units, unit buildings and common areas.
  3. Support the Sr. Manager in the Laundry, Public Area, Trash and Recycling operations.
  4. Monitor service and productivity scores, prepare reports, analyze data, and provide plans of action to address opportunities.
  5. Ensures proper accounting of all expenses related to the Housekeeping Service Agreement.

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES:

Along with oversight of third party contracts, provides direct supervision of a Senior Manager for Laundry and Support Services Departments. The Assistant Director is expected to demonstrate thoughtful decisions in a high-pressure environment. This individual is responsible for the actions, results, successes, and failures of the team. Service, operational levels, training, and employee motivation should be the focus. They should take responsibility for the failures and share the successes, always modeling the approach expected from the team. Guidance is received from the General Manager of Resort Operations regarding general objectives.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:

Must have at least five years of experience in the vacation ownership industry or in a housekeeping management role. The individual must also be able to demonstrate superior leadership and interpersonal skills.

CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS:

Any hotel/motel/resort/management certifications would be a plus

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Must develop and maintain comprehensive knowledge of resort policies, procedures, and operations and ensure communication of relevant information as required.
  • Must have excellent management skills including the ability to anticipate, prevent and solve problems; manage people, projects, time, and quality; motivate and lead staff with diverse skill levels; multi-task; and set priorities.
  • Must possess a sincere dedication to provide an unsurpassed level of owner and guest satisfaction.
  • Must demonstrate a commitment to the continuous development of his/her team.
  • Must have a high degree of judgment.
  • Must have demonstrated exceptional verbal and written communication skills
  • Must have some knowledge of Budgets and organizational skills.
  • Must have computer skills.
  • Must have a valid driver’s license.
  • Must be at least 21 years of age.
  • Must have more than four (4) years of driving experience irrespective of age.
  • May not have any Type A violations in the last three (3) years; (which include, but are not limited to, DWI, DUI, refusing a substance test, driving with an open container of alcohol, reckless driving, hit and run, fleeing a police officer, racing, driving while license is revoked or suspended, manslaughter or any felony)
  • May not have more than two (2) Type B moving violations in the last three (3) years; (includes most driving violations such as speeding, improper lane change, failure to yield or obey a traffic signal or sign, license suspension or at fault accidents.
  • May not have more than one at-fault accident within last three (3) years; and
  • May not have one (1) Type B moving violation and one (1) at-fault accident within three (3) years.
