Group Facilitator

POSITION SUMMARY

Reporting to the Clinical Manager, the Group Facilitator will be responsible for developing, organizing, and implementing comprehensive recreational therapy at Zenith. The Group Facilitator will interact with adolescent and/or adult patients during daily routine activities consistent with the organization's treatment program design and the principles of normal growth and development.

Essential Duties

• Provides daily activity groups for adults/adolescents in a residential based setting and coordinates closely with the Clinical Manager and multidisciplinary team.
• Maintains and performs an acceptable standard level of care in compliance with standards, guidelines, and regulations.
• Conducts clinically appropriate screenings, assessments, and develops treatment plans in conjunction with the treatment team. Documents into electronic health record and ensures high quality outcomes.
• Supports and/or attends outreach events as appropriate to highlight services at Zenith Behavioral Health, bring clients to the program and encourage referrals.
• Attend weekly team meetings, clinical consultation and administrative meetings as required.
• Maintains and manages patient contact daily in accordance with the clinical program schedules and documents appropriately.
• Applies critical thinking, problem solving and time management skills as required for job performance.
• Works independently and maintains effective communication with immediate clinical manager and team members.
• Demonstrates exceptional customer service, in every level of service provided by placing the patient first.
• Completes all assigned training in a timely manner and ensures completion compliance requirements are met.
• Perform other duties as required.

Qualification Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in music therapy, Recreational Therapy, Counseling, Psychology, or Social Work
• Master's degree in art therapy, Drama Therapy, Dance/Movement Therapy, or completion of a creative arts / expressive therapy certification program
• Certification or license preferred: Yoga, Yoga Therapy, Tai Chi, Qigong
• Excellent communication, assessment, evaluation, and interpretation skills.
• Knowledge of psychiatric and addictive disease diagnoses and treatment.
• Teaching or training skills helpful
• Understanding of, or ability to understand, DSM-V methodology.
• Minimum of 2 years' experience in a healthcare field. Inpatient psychiatric experience preferred.
• Must be 21 years of age or older.
• Must have a Level I AZ DPS Fingerprint Clearance Card and be able to pass required clearances and background checks.
• Must be able to display proficient oral and written communication skills.
• Must have a current negative TB test.
• If available and preferred: provide a current Arizona Driver License, and current, clean, 39-month Motor Vehicle Record (MVR)Ability to work in a team.
