Certified Nurse Midwife - Full Time in North San Diego

Under the direction of the Lead OB/GYN physician, the Certified Nurse Midwife manages the medical care of patients throughout the maternity cycle, including antepartum and postpartum, in the outpatient setting, in addition to gynecologic care. This includes providing standard obstetric care and counseling for pregnant women and basic primary care for women of all ages, following ambulatory care standardized policies, procedures, and protocols regulated by the State of California Nurse Practice Act, and TrueCare.
QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED:
- Graduate of a Midwifery Program accredited by the American Midwifery Certification Board.
- Computer proficiency, particularly with Electronic Health/Medical Record systems and the Microsoft Office Suite
QUALIFICATIONS DESIRED:
- Two years of experience in full scope nurse midwifery practice
- Bilingual in English and Spanish
Licenses:
- Current California Registered Nurse License
- Current and unrestricted California Nurse Midwife License
- Board of Registered Nurses Certification Furnishing Number issued by California Board of Registered Nursing.
- Current and unrestricted Controlled Substances Registration Certificate from the U.S. Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA)
- Valid California Driver's License, proof of auto liability insurance and clean driving record.
Certifications:
- Current certification as a Nurse Midwife through the American Midwifery Certification Board
- Current BLS Certification for Healthcare Providers
- Basic ultrasound skills for limited third trimester ultrasound / AFI's fetal presentation and viability- with documented training for same
