Senior Maintenance Plant Engineer Description 

Our client in the manufacturing industry is looking for a Senior Maintenance Plant Engineer to join their team in Passaic, NJ. You will be responsible supervising five extremely experienced maintenance technicians while working in conjunction with the Senior Plant Engineer to oversee the maintenance, repair, and design of packaging equipment. This includes mechanical and electrical repairs, equipment installation, modification, and design. Most of their technicians have been there for 10-20 years so you will have an incredibly tenured team to work with. You will be pointing out what projects need to be done rather than close day-to-day supervision. To be chosen for this role, you must have mechanical design and drafting experience with basic machine electricals skills so you can easily read wiring diagrams. Senior Maintenance Plant Engineer Responsibilities

•    Oversee preventative maintenance 
•    Supervise 5 experienced maintenance technicians 
•    Schedule PM assignments, work orders, and projects  
•    Manage purchasing and inventory for all active equipment
•    Negotiate with vendors and strategize cost-savings 
•    Query and analyze data to determine corrective actions
•    Utilize preventative and predictive programs and tools 
•    Enforce and ensure safety and environmental policies 
•    Champion and execute continuous improvement initiatives 
•    Develop, monitor, and upgrade maintenance program 
 

Senior Maintenance Plant Engineer Qualifications 

•    5+ years of manufacturing experience including machine design required 
•    Mechanical design and drafting experience required  
•    PLC programming experience required 
•    Comfortable reading wiring diagrams; basic machine electrical skills required
