Job DescriptionCompany Description
We are seeking a part-time (4-5 hours/ week) Tutor-Mentor to help our young clients, middle school to college, excel academically! This is ideal for students in college or post-graduate studies looking for a few hours of work weekly. You will provide non-classroom instruction to students on an individual or group basis in-person, at our lead agency's transitional age youth (TAY) drop-in program.
Responsibilities:
- Manage and educate students in a non-classroom setting
- Prepare to assist with homework for various academic levels
- Establish academic goals and milestones with students
- Document and communicate progress
- Provide constructive feedback for students
Qualifications:
- A Bachelor's Degree in Education, Child Development, Language Arts, Math, Sciences, or related field preferred (Associate's required)
- Previous experience in teaching, tutoring, or other related fields
- Ability to build rapport with students and adult caregivers
- Sufficient knowledge of core educational subjects
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Clear a background check
