Job Description

We are seeking a Mental Health Counselor to join our team!

Serenity Counseling and Support Services is a community-based behavioral health agency established in Las Vegas, NV, in 2009. We are a team of Licensed Clinical Social Workers, Licensed Professional Counselors, Clinical Social Work Interns, Clinical Professional Counselor Interns, Psychiatrists, Psychiatric APRNs, and bachelor-level case managers and rehabilitation providers. Our team is growing, and we want to add (4) clinical interns and two fully licensed clinicians to our team. Compensation depends on experience and license status. We are a board-approved site for clinical social work interns and have several in-house, board-approved supervisors to oversee your clinical internship. We can also provide primary and secondary supervision for MFT and CPC interns. This is a clinical position where you will be expected to be the therapeutic lead of your assigned cases. You will be responsible for providing individual, group, and family therapy. You will be responsible for maintaining up-to-date and current client charts, documenting sessions, and completing additional paperwork, such as prior authorization requests, as necessary. Candidates must have a Master’s Degree in Clinical Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, or Clinical Counseling and be internship-eligible within the State of Nevada (i.e., be a state-licensed intern). Please note, this is a post-graduate internship and you MUST have a conferred degree and be a state-licensed intern, this is not a practicum position or a position for an internship while still completing your degree. The ideal candidate must enjoy being part of a multi-disciplinary team, be ready and willing to learn, be able to accept feedback from your supervisor and be self-motivated in the field. The ideal candidate must also be willing to commit two years to this position. This job is a W2 position paid hourly. W2 positions have benefits such as health insurance, paid time off, and holidays. This position is scheduled for Tuesday-Saturday. Hours of employment can be somewhat flexible but will include afternoon and evening hours. Candidates should anticipate working 30-40 hours weekly after a full caseload is obtained. A full caseload means you will be expected to see an average of 25 clients weekly and have scheduled paperwork and supervision time. Therapy will take place both in the office and via telehealth.

Supervision for an internship will be provided at no cost to the intern and is considered part of the compensation package.

*Out-of-state applicants will be considered if you have contacted your appropriate board site and clarified the requirements for a clinical internship license.

Job Type: Full-time

Salary: starting at $35.00 - 50.00 per hour

Benefits:

  • Health insurance
  • Paid time off
  • Professional development assistance
  • Supervision included in employment
