Logistics Coordinator / Customer Service Rep

Location: West Palm Beach, FL

Pay rate: $20.00/hr.-$24.00/hr.

Working Schedule: Monday- Friday 8am-5pm

Job description

- Coordinate and oversee the logistics operations of the company, ensuring efficient and timely transportation and delivery of chemicals.
- Develop and implement logistics strategies, policies, and procedures to optimize operational efficiency.
- Collaborate with internal teams, suppliers, and customers to ensure smooth coordination of shipments and resolve any issues or delays.
- Monitor inventory levels and manage stock replenishment to meet customer demand.
- Utilize warehouse management systems to track inventory, monitor shipments, and generate reports.
- Conduct root cause analysis to identify areas for improvement in logistics processes and implement corrective actions.
- Coordinate with transportation providers to negotiate pricing, schedule shipments, and track delivery status.
- Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements related to transportation, import/export, and hazardous materials handling.
- Oversee the maintenance and operation of forklifts and other material handling equipment.

Requirements

- Proven experience in logistics coordination or a related field.
- Strong knowledge of logistics principles, practices, and procedures.
- Proficiency in using computers and email correspondence
- Excellent analytical skills with the ability to conduct root cause analysis and implement process improvements.
- Ability to effectively communicate with internal teams, suppliers, and customers.
- Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to resolve issues in a timely manner.
